State of the City 2009

The City of Dillon is a full service city in the northeastern portion of South Carolina that was chartered December 22, 1888.

The city has a population of 6800 and is the county seat for Dillon County.

The City of Dillon operates under the Council-Manager form of government with a Mayor and six (6) Council members. Mayor is elected at large and Council member’s elected by districts and serve four (4) year staggered terms. All powers of the City and the determination of all matters of policy shall be vested in the Council, with each member, including the Mayor having one (1) vote.
