Dillon
Municipal Court
The Dillon Municipal
Court department consists of four employees. Our Municipal Judges
are, The Honorable Dolphus Carter and the Honorable James F.
Rogers. The Court Clerks are Angela C. Freitas and Gina Scott.
The court is authorized to hear
all cases arising under state laws and Municipal Ordinances,
which occur within the city limits. The primary duty for the
Municipal Court is to provide equal justice to all of Dillon's
citizens. The Municipal Court has no civil jurisdiction.
The Municipal Judges conduct Bond
Hearings, prepare and sign Arrest Warrants, Search Warrants,
and Bench Warrants twice a day at 8:00am and again at 4:00pm,
seven days a week. Court Sessions are held every Wednesday beginning
promptly at 9:00am. Jury Trials and Preliminary Hearings are
held throughout the year as scheduled.
Office hours are from 8:00am until
5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Office personnel are here to
assist you with any questions pertaining to Court Hearings,
Jury Duty, Traffic Tickets, and Arrest Warrants.
If you do not wish to appear in
Court, you may post the Bond amount of your violation with the
Court on or before your Court date. Please feel free to call
the Court if you have any questions concerning your violation.
You may pay in person at the Municipal
Court in the Dillon City/County Complex building. Personal Checks
are not accepted for payment. Cash, Certified Check, or Money
Orders only are accepted for payment. You may also prefer to
mail in your payment. Payments by mail are to have exact fine
amounts and be made payable to Dillon Municipal Court. Please
be sure to include ticket numbers and a current address. A receipt
will be mailed back to you.
