The City of Dillon Sanitation and
Refuse Department has a once a week pick-up for residential
customers and business roll carts. The city also provides recycle
bins for the customers who would like to recycle.
Most businesses use commercial
dumpster's which are 2YD, 4YD, 6YD, or 8YD. Prices are indicated
with the size containers and pickups per week.

The city takes yard
debris to the C&D Processing for recycling on Highway 301
South. Plastic Bottles and cans are recycled, as well as newspapers
and glass.
There are 3 men who work on the
residential garbage truck for roll carts, and one driver whom
operates the commercial garbage truck. There are also 2 drivers
who drive the Knuckleboom loaders for yard debris, and one dump
truck that picks up furniture and mixed trash. They also have
2 men that pickup recycle materials. Barbara McCracken heads
up the Sanitation department.
