Board of Architectural Review (BAR)

The Board of Architectural Review holds regular public meetings to conduct business and review applications for “Certificates of Appropriateness” (COA)s.
The BAR is a city appointed, state recognized board whose function is to preserve and maintain the character and history of the City’s designated historic districts. In order to make any physical change in the appearance of the properties in the district, a COA must be obtained. Maintenance and repairs that do not change the appearance do not require a COA.
Please contact Benny Genwright, Code Enforcement Director if you have any questions or for the COA applications: 843 774-0040 or bennydilloncity@bellsouth.net

Please see the COA section. There is a process to follow and there are no fees involved.
