CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT (CLG)
By developing an effective preservation program and entering into a partnership with the State Preservation Office and the National Park Service to become a CLG, the city receives such benefits as applications to funding that has been set aside for CLG’s.

BOARD OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW (BAR)
The Board of Architectural Review has been established for the specific purpose of preservation and protection of Dillon’s designated historic districts, properties and public areas within the districts. The BAR is a state recognized board (SC Code 6-29-710 and 6-29-870) appointed by the City Council.
