Jackson's
statement:
"Horses fascinate me because I fear them and because
they remind me of my father, who died when I was still young.
My dad loved horses, and a lot of things he and I did together
revolved around horses. My interest in the raptor has to do
with my interest in evolution as well as in birds in general.
Birds to me represent a sense for freedom, especially in their
ability to rise above the earth, above daily existence. Raptors
were, of course, birds' predecessor."
