South Plaza Sculpture Exhibit
May 3rd - September 3rd 2007

The 2nd Annual South Plaza Sculpture Exhibit opened during the Celebrate Main Street Festival and will run through Labor Day this fall. All the sculptures are temporarily on loan through the generosity of each artist.

For the second year, the City of Dillon has received a $1,000.00 quarterly SC Arts Commission grant to mount the exhibition. The SC Arts Commission grant was funded in part by a gift from the John and Susan Bennett Memorial Arts Fund of the Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina.

In conjunction with the sculpture exhibit, the City of Dillon sponsored an Artist in Residence for the Dillon High School. The nationally known installation artist, Janet Orselli, worked with the students. Artist in Residence

Curator, Wim Roefs, Director of if ART, International Fine Arts Services and Gallery, Columbia, SC, has selected each piece to enrich the experience of the sculpture for citizens and visitors alike.
